Pair of
"Interior" Naming Agreements Completed
By Bill Miller
A pair of "interior" naming rights agreements were
announced this week at the major and minor levels.
In Cleveland, the American Hockey League's Cleveland
Barons inked a deal in which they are now calling their
home ice the National City Rink at Gund Arena after
completing a two-year arrangement with the
Cleveland-based financial holding company.
Financial terms were not announced. The bank will
receive on-ice logos along with the ability to co-host
financial education workshops with the team. Other
community events are also part of the agreement.
In Seattle, the National Football League's Seattle
Seahawks announced a deal with Wells Fargo which
includes naming rights for the club level of the stadium
which is now the Wells Fargo Club.
Financial terms for the deal were undisclosed. Extensive
signage on the club level and throughout the facility is
included in the agreement. The restaurant at the
facility is also being called the Stagecoach Restaurant
as part of the arrangement.
Other elements included the Seahawks' October 10th game
versus the Rams being dubbed Wells Fargo Day and the
team will conduct its corporate banking services with
Wells Fargo.
NRO hopes to post a story later in the calendar year
detailing these and additional "interior" naming rights
agreements throughout the country. Check back for
further details.
